This glossary covers terms from rostering, casual and shift-based employment, and the workings of bid-based rostering, where a business publishes the work for a period and staff request the named positions they want instead of being assigned shifts from the top. Each entry is a short, neutral definition that should be useful whether or not you use Chronomancer. Where a term touches on employment law or entitlements, we've kept the wording general and suggest you check current NZ or AU guidance. None of it is advice.
